- They’re on a mission to lead a clean world revolution.
- When they say we live and breathe clean, they mean it. From the way they do business to how they source their ingredients to out war on ocean plastic.
- Clean ingredients | Clean manufacturing.
In 1979, a group of eco-pioneers sought to help people break free from all their poor cleaning habits. At the time, many cleaners included toxic elements. These toxic elements could poison waterways, could damage wildlife and could even cause harm to the people cleaning with them. The scientific visionaries knew that if people proceeded to use toxic products, the world would soon become a real messy place.
So they founded Ecover in a small garden shed in a rural Belgian town and launched the world’s first phosphate-free laundry detergent, proving that you can get a powerful clean and still make Mother Nature happy. Now with a base in San Francisco, they continue to take inspiration from nature to explore green cleaning ingredients that work well and leave nothing dirty behind. In addition to their green factories in Belgium and France, they are opening a manufacturing facility in Chicago that is supposed to be the first LEED Platinum-certified plant in the industry.
They are guardians of the planet and scientists with a conscience, who think sparkly dishes shouldn’t have side effects. They know nature presents us with plenty of powerful ingredients, and toxins never make anything better, so they look to bees for inspiration and plants for innovation. Now they’re setting new production standards under a greenhouse roof. They consider cleaning their opportunity to make the world a better place. They think green should be a natural way of life.Go to the Ecover website
